Microlocks refer to any small lock. Sisterlocks are a form of Microlock. However, when most people refer to Microlocks they are asking for a loc size between traditional locs and Sisterlocks.
Can Sisterlocks Damage Your Hair?
If the hair is not cared for properly, it will break, regardless if you have Sisterlocks, traditional locs or loose hair. With Sisterlocks, you have no chemicals or damaging abrasions to your scalp or strands, making it ideal for a thin hair texture.
Can Sisterlocks Be Taken Out?
Technically, yes, though the procedure is so tedious, you will not want to get Sisterlocks with that intention. Anyway, once you discover the range of freedom with Sisterlocks, you won't want to go back! Finally, there is a way of celebrating the natural beauty of our hair with Sisterlocks!
How Many Sisterlocks Should I Have?
Loc count varies according to hair density, the size you want your locs to be as well as the size of your head. Typically, women with Sisterlocks can have anywhere from 400 to more than 800 Sisterlocks.
How Much Are Sisterlocks?
Sisterlocks are offered as a 3-part package; Consultation, Installation, and a 4-week follow-up visit. The cost begins at $1100 for up to 3 inches of natural unprocessed hair and $100 per inch thereafter. The cost of the informational consultation is $100.
How Often Should I Retighten My Hair?
Loc Retightenings for Sisterlocks and Microlocks should be done every four to six weeks. Traditional locs should be retwisted once per month. Dreadlocks should be crocheted every two months.
Can Children Get Locs?
Yes, children can get locs. Vanity services children starting at the age of five. Vanity Stylists are also trained to work with autistic children.

Semi-permanent color is also called hair gloss and adds shine

Can I Use Semi-Permanent Color?
Semi-permanent color is ok to use once your hair has locked. If you have baby Sisterlocks, Microlocks or Traditional Locs, you SHOULD NOT use semi-permanent color for at least one year. Semi permanents will cause the grooves of your locs to widen and compromise the integrity of the loc. You will also deal with "slippage."

Can Sisterlock Shampoo Be Used On Color Treated Hair?
The Sisterlock Starter shampoo is a clarifying shampoo with a high pH designed to lift the hair’s cuticle. Cuticles are like shingles that “seal” the hair’s cortex. So when you lift the cuticle, anything deposited inside the cortex (e.g. oxidative hair color molecules) will “leak. ”
